As I read the assignments this week, I realized how personal these readings are. The women have such a personal touch to each story they tell. You can really find yourself in the characters. Its easy to understand how they feel and what thier lives are like. I am excited keep reading and to dive right into to The Red Badge of Courage.
On another note, I have been so busy with my son and his basketball games!! Logan is a junior and I have come to realize that it's time to start getting together all his stuff for his SENIOR year. I am not ready for this. :)
I don't know if you've started reading The Red Badge of Courage yet, but I had some misplaced worry last week. When Mrs. Siemens wrote on Black Board that it is 24 chapters, I about had an aneurism. Of course, then I opened the book and saw how huge the font was. I'm almost done now.
ReplyDeleteI have three children in fourth grade,(1 biological, 2 adopted) and I know it's cliche, but it seems like they were in kindergarten last year. Life is a remarkable impatient journey , and reading leisurely enhances the experience. While gathering your children's mementos in preparation for their graduation, include our textbook, it will make for a wonderful gift.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Glenn..time does seem to pass by quickly, cliche or not. Including the anthology is a great idea. The works are timeless, and your son may be able to use the text for one of his college classes as well.
